CIFF Guangzhou 2026 Visit Report: Furniture Brands, Mid-Sized Suppliers, and Sourcing Insights
If you are planning to source furniture in China for hotels, apartments, villas, restaurants, or commercial spaces, visiting a major fair like CIFF Guangzhou can be a useful way to understand suppliers, products, and market direction. We visited CIFF Guangzhou 2026 in person and walked through multiple halls to see what was actually worth paying attention to from an overseas buyer’s perspective.

Our First Impression of CIFF Guangzhou 2026
CIFF Guangzhou 2026 was held again at the Pazhou exhibition complex in Guangzhou, and we visited the show in person this year. We walked through several halls, explored different sections, spoke briefly with some suppliers, and took many photos along the way.
Overall, the fair was once again very large in scale, with a wide product range covering many furniture categories. In addition to the many suppliers from the Pearl River Delta area, there were also quite a few exhibitors from other provinces such as Zhejiang, Hebei, Fujian, and Jiangxi.
Our general impression was positive. There were many exhibitors, a large number of new products, and the overall presentation standard was quite high. Many booths were well designed, product styling felt more mature, and in many cases the quality level looked stronger than average. We also noticed a number of interesting new ideas and fresh product directions.

International Brand Hall: More About Brand Promotion Than Finding Chinese Manufacturers
One part of the show featured international brands, including names such as KINGSDOWN from the United States and Slumberland from the United Kingdom, along with several brands from Europe and Southeast Asia.
In our view, this section was more about brand display and China market development than about connecting overseas buyers with Chinese manufacturing resources. Some of these brands appeared to be using the exhibition mainly to build visibility in China or recruit regional distributors.
So if you are an overseas buyer coming to CIFF mainly to find strong Chinese furniture suppliers, this international section is usually not the most important area to spend your time on.
We also saw a large Malaysian pavilion featuring many solid wood products. The display itself was substantial, but visitor traffic there did not seem especially strong, suggesting that the focus was more on brand image than active sourcing.
Domestic Brand Halls: Strong Presentation, But Not Always the Best Fit for Overseas Project Buying
The domestic brand halls included many well-known Chinese furniture brands such as Landbond, Sleemon, Steel-Land, Linsy, and others, along with capable local companies like iRest, A Home Furnishings, and COOC.
These larger domestic brands generally had spacious booths, polished visual merchandising, and complete whole-home furniture presentations. The displays looked professional and well funded. We saw so many visitors for those well-known brands, but most of them to be domestic visitors.
That makes sense. For many large local brands, exhibitions like CIFF are not only about showing products, but also about strengthening brand influence and expanding their network within China.
We also visited the Steel-Land booth. As expected from a major upholstery brand, the booth was large and visually impressive. We saw a range of upholstered furniture, including fabric sofas that felt soft and comfortable, and leather sofas with a very refined surface texture. One important thing is that, the seating feel of their sofa was balanced, which is actually an important indicator of quality in upholstered products.
This reminded us of our own quality inspection work. In a previous pre-shipment inspection for a hotel client in the United States, we found that some sofa cushions had uneven seating support from one position to another. That kind of inconsistency directly affects the final quality impression of a project.
Bedding Hall: Broad Product Range and More Sleep-Focused Innovation
The bedding hall included many bed and mattress suppliers, with products ranging from simple project-use beds to medical functional beds, folding beds, bed frame and mattresses at different price levels.
One thing that stood out was the number of suppliers emphasizing sleep-improvement features. We spoke briefly with one medium-sized mattress supplier from Zhejiang. Their booth displayed more than ten different mattress models. According to them, their mattress designs used layered material combinations and structural design to improve comfort and help users relax more easily. We tried one briefly, and the comfort level was indeed quite good.
From what we saw, less bedding exhibitors come from Guangdong, most of them are from Jingxi and Zhejiang.
Mid-Sized and Smaller Furniture Suppliers: Often More Practical for Overseas Buyers
Beyond the big-brand halls, the exhibition also had many small and mid-sized furniture suppliers showing sofas, lounge chairs, side tables, coffee tables, and other compact upholstery products.
In many cases, these suppliers may actually be more relevant for overseas project buyers than the big domestic brands. The reason is simple: many of them offer good styling and decent quality, but at a much more competitive price level.
If you are sourcing from China and want products that look good, meet a reasonable quality standard, and still come with good price, these mid-sized suppliers are often good choice.
For example, we saw one supplier focused on fluffy lounge chairs. Their products had long-pile upholstery that felt soft and comfortable. Compared with previous exhibitions, we felt there were fewer lounge-chair specialists this time, so a supplier with such a distinctive style was easier to remember.
Another exhibitor specialized in nightstands. Their booth was quite small, but they brought many different models, including some with more updated designs. We watched them demonstrate the product details to visitors. The drawer interiors were upholstered, and the sliding action felt smooth. Small details like these often say a lot about a supplier’s quality level.
We pay close attention to details like this because Tanndy frequently helps clients with pre-shipment quality inspection. We know from experience that a product can look fine as a sample, but when production is rushed or factory management is loose, details often become inconsistent. That is exactly why careful checking before shipment is so important.
Decorative Accessories and Soft Furnishing: Interesting for Hotels, Restaurants, and Commercial Spaces
In addition to furniture itself, the fair also included decorative accessory and soft furnishing sections, where we saw mirrors, ornaments, faux flowers, artificial plants, decorative fireplaces, gramophone-style speakers, and other decorative products.
One large accessories booth featured a very elaborate display, with many visually rich decorative items in a more European and ornamental style.
Lighting Section: Strong Variety, Many Suppliers from Zhongshan
The show also included a lighting section, with many exhibitors, a large number of them from Zhongshan city which is about 2 hours by drive from Guangzhou. We saw a wide range of decorative lighting, chandeliers, ambient lighting, and project-oriented fixtures.
One supplier displayed a wave-shaped crystal chandelier with flowing lines and a refined look. Because of the crystal material and the way it reflected light, the piece looked quite premium. Another Zhongshan-based supplier focused on colorful decorative lights with strong visual impact and vivid patterns.
Our Overall View: Is CIFF Worth Visiting?
Based on this visit, we would say yes. CIFF Guangzhou remains a worthwhile exhibition for buyers who want to understand the Chinese furniture market, see new product directions, and identify suppliers for different sourcing needs.
The key, however, is to visit with a clear sourcing logic. If you are an overseas buyer looking for furniture and soft furnishing suppliers for hotels, apartments, restaurants, villas, or commercial projects, it is not enough to simply look at the biggest booth or the most famous brand.
In many cases, the right supplier is not the one with the largest brand name, but the one with the right product direction, workable pricing, realistic lead time, and a better fit for your project.
