Factory Visit: Sourcing Doors and Windows from Foshan, China

Last week, we guided one of our overseas clients to visit a doors and windows manufacturer in Foshan.

The client is building their villa project and looking for different building materials from China, doors & windows is one of the main thing.

They come here for one week, so today we will bring them to see the supplier’s showroom, production workshop and check the quality as well.

The client was looking for needed customized aluminum doors and windows. Since the client is from Australia so they are looking for windows that can meet Australian AS/NZS standard.

Foshan is one of the largest hubs in China for building materials, espectially for doors & windows. There is a town in Foshan where you can find lots of windows factories. So Foshan is the ideal sourcing location.

We hired a private car with driver for the client. After one hour’s driving, we finally arrived the supplier’s factory in Shishan Town in Foshan.

We walked through the supplier’s showroom and we can see that they have different samples like sliding doors, folding doors and general window in the showroom. Most of them are in black color with clear glass.

With the supplier’s introduction, the client was able to see the finished, glass types and installation systems in person.

Sometimes, people like to order windows online, but visit in person can help them compare the real quality easily.

Next, we went into the production workshop.

The factory has quite a large workshop, nearly 10000sqm big. They have full full production line for aluminum material cutting, welding, powder coating and glass assembly.

Here the client can see how the frames were being processed, how sealing was applied, and how final products were packed.

By such a on-site inspection, the client can have clear understanding about the supplier’s production capability and working standard.
